The Lofoten Islands are the jewel in Norway’s scenic crown. And that’s really saying something in a country renowned for its spectacular landscapes. This wild, untamed cluster of islands is a photography paradise; an imposing collection of jaw-dropping natural sights, jagged rock formations, and fairytale views. 

Join us on our winter photography tour of the Lofted Islands, as we capture the magnificent Northern Lights in the most epic surroundings you can imagine. For the duration of this Lofoten Islands photography tour, we will be hunting down the aurora borealis and capturing the finest sights in the area. Epic snow-capped peaks, vivid fjords, charming villages and dramatic seascapes... all will be within our reach, and (hopefully!) illuminated by the magical glow of the northern lights. The Northern Lights are visible in Lofoten from September to April each year. Although they can be temperamental, we’ll do our best to put the group in the perfect position for an aurora photo shoot at each location. During this tour we will focus on the classic winter scenes around the Islands. Below is a detailed overview of our expected itinerary...

About Dream Photography Workshops

Dream Photography Workshops was founded by Dale Sharpe, and his fiancé Karlie Russell. It was their dream to share their love of adventure, travel and landscape photography with others. Since Dale’s passing in June 2019, the reigns of Dream Photography Workshops has been handed to some of Dale’s best friends in the business, a group of just as enthusiastic Australian landscape photographers who together have a wealth of knowledge.

They are passionate about chasing the perfect light and creating unique compositions - and teaching other photographers to do the same. Running photography tours in Australia, and around the world in a number of stunning locations, from New Zealand to Iceland, they provide guided photo tours to others who seek similar adventures. It's not just about the technique and locations though, the Dream Photography Workshops team provide a memorable adventure that is as much an incredible holiday as an educational photo workshop.
